How to convert a WMA file to MP3 with Snow Leopard

Open the file in the OS X ( newer ) Quicktime Player ( If you don't see an option in Quicktime Player 10 to open the file, try to install the free WMA plugin from Microsoft here:  http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/wmcomponents.mspx click the "free" button on the page.  )

FIle > Save for iPhone

Locate the resulting file. Drag and drop it into iTunes
iTunes > Preferences > Import settings > MP3 192bit

Right click the file you just imported ( should be an .m4v ) then choose "Create MP3 Version"

Locate the resulting file ( easier if you add the column for "date added" and click the "Date Added" column as it will come to the top of the list.

Done.
